There are so many different entertainers and performers that you could choose from to perform on your wedding day. From DJ's, to live bands, the list is endless. Here are a few things to know when selecting the entertainment for your wedding day.
1. Know Your Entertainer
The person that you select as your entertainer for the night will be representing not only you, but your wedding night as well. They will be your spokesperson and MC. Don't hire someone unless you have met and spoke with them. It is always a good idea to get to know the person or people before hiring them, that way you can get a feel for their style and outlook.
2. Performance and Style
It's one thing to watch an edited video of someone's performance, but to watch raw footage? That beats all. Your guests won't be watching a video of the performance, but will be watching it live! It is always a good idea to watch raw footage of a performance to see their style, voice, and last but most important, their talent. You'll be seeing samples of all other aspects of your wedding, so why not do the same with your entertainer?
3. Experience
The performer you are interested in may have performed at a lot of events, but experience also matters. How long have they been performing? What kind of events do they perform at? Have they had any education regarding their talent? These are just a few of the questions that you should be asking not only yourself, but the entertainer.
4. Budgeting
When looking to book a performer, think about your budget. As they all say; you get what you pay for. Don't spend a fortune, but don't run cheap either. Make sure to do your research and compare different companies and performers to one another. Also, look at reviews!!!
5. Stay Protected
Be sure that when you decide to hire a performer, or any vendor for that matter, that you create a contract. Be sure to know if they have a money back guarantee, as well as if they have liability insurance.
Whoever you decide will perform at your wedding is going to make a big statement! Everyone will be watching, so having a good performance will make your day more memorable for everyone!
